Venecia se encuentra en un conjunto de islas en la laguna de Venecia, es uno de los lugares turísticos más conocidos del mundo gracias a sus características geográficas y por la impactante belleza del lugar.
Es una ciudad peatonal con calles compuestas por entramados de mágicos canales, por estos andan las famosas góndolas, donde la gente se puede subir y disfrutar de un turístico recorrido por la región. Aparte de los típicos canales, otros lugares para visitar pueden ser la Plaza de San Marcos, donde se encuentra la basílica de San Marcos, el principal templo católico de Venecia y gran representante de la arquitectura bizantina, el Palazzo Ducale y la Torre dell'Orologio.
Otros lugares interesantes son los numerosos palacios de la zona como el Palazzo Dolfin Manin o Ca' Rezzonico, un excepcional palacio barroco. Por otro lado, también hay muchas iglesias a las que se puede asistir, entre ellas, la Basílica de Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, la Basílica de San Giorgio Maggiore, Basílica de Santa Maria della Salute, etc.
Aparte de todo esto, Venecia es conocido por su vibrante carnaval repleto de máscaras, una festividad declarada suprema en el siglo XIII, mantenida hasta el día de hoy y conservada como una celebración característica de la ciudad.

Other interesting places are the numerous palaces in the area such as Palazzo Dolfin Manin or Ca' Rezzonico, an exceptional baroque palace. Apart from all this, Venice is known for its vibrant mask-filled carnival, a festivity declared supreme in the 13th century, maintained to this day and preserved as a characteristic celebration of the city.
